Andromeda Botanic Gardens - Eight magical acres of gardens set on a seaside cliff overlooking the Atlantic. Internationally renowned horticulturist Iris Bannochie created these glorious gardens on land that had belonged to her family since the mid 1700s.

  5. With the Wildlife : The Barbados Wildlife Reserve - Visitors are offered a unique opportunity to stroll freely through the Reserve, which is primarily a monkey sanctuary. There are few cages and the animals can be observed as they eat, play and interact with the other animals. Other animals that can be found at the Reserve are ducks, turtles, tortoises, birds, peacocks, otters, racoons, agouti, and deer.

Oughterson House & Barbados Zoo Park - The antique Oughterson House, once the centre of a large sugarcane plantation, now houses this small zoo. The animals come from the worlds four corners; zebras and pythons from Africa, alligators and tapirs from Brazil, green monkeys and mongooses from Barbados. There is an admission fee.

Tiger Woods chose the historic haunt of royals, the lavish Sandy Lane Hotel, for his elegant October 2004 wedding to Swedish sweetheart Elin Nordegren.   The eclectic guest list included such celebs and luminaries as Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Jerry Seinfeld, Cindy Crawford, Michael Jordan, and Charles Barkley.   The celebration was so exclusive, he rented out the entire property, which happens to include 3 world-class golf courses. Although the golf great reportedly spent the day of his marriage fishing, jet-skiing, and snorkeling around the island, he donned a beige suit to marry Ms. Nordegren under a sumptuous bower of flowers and white netting, with the azure blue sea and brilliant sunset as a backdrop for the simple ceremony.

Jemma Kidd's May 2005 wedding to the Earl of Mornington was equally as splendid. The makeup artist and entrepreneur extraordinaire comes from an elite British family, but her Barbadian roots go deep. Her grandmother bought a plantation house on the island in the mid 1900s and raised her father there and she spent all her holidays there along with her sister, supermodel Jodie Kidd, and other siblings. Her dress, pictured in Vogue , and on the list of top 10 wedding dresses of the century, was a romantic confection with soft tulle bows at the neck and straps that had to be flown to the island in ints own foirst calss seat.
